Wife: Something bothered me. Something in the news isn't quite right, but I can't put my finger on it.
Husband: What do you mean? Here, let me take a look...
Paper: "...indicated that Mr. Felix knows about the ragweed problem in southern Arizona..."

When was the last time you read the news? Did you ever have the feeling that you could almost see patterns in the news, but you couldn't really understand what it was you thought you saw? Something mysterious about the words, or within the words, or between the words was teasing at your mind - a mysterious meaning lurking behind the literal text straight from the press. What if, by reading the news, you could uncover mysterious information, planted by design, planted with the intention to influence the very thinking processes that you and those around you hold as truth? What if you could put your finger on the mechanisms behind such mysterious information? What if you could leverage those mechanisms for yourself in the formation of your own secret organization with the goal of world domination? Would you do it?

As a player, your goal is world domination. Fnews paves the way towards this goal through propaganda embedded in daily news articles. You will play a cabal (a conspiratorial organization) that selects words to be implanted secretly into daily news texts. Your cabal's success at subliminally altering the public mindset in favor of your agenda depends on your choice of the right words to cause an influence. This will be measured word-for-word by the number of news articles containing each of your words and the subtlety of each word's appearance. If you've linked your cabal to a particular word and it occurs often enough and subtly enough to be both persistent and invisible to the conscious minds of the readers, it will boost your cabal's influence. Influence, in turn, pays for additional word links, which then have the potential to boost your cause further... if you choose your words wisely, that is!
